Q: How long have you been a TIR trainer?
A: I became a TIR trainer in 2021.
A: I became a TIR trainer in 2021.
Q: What inspired you to become a TIR trainer?
A: AMI is all around the most inspiring organization to be a part of. I have a vision to create a trauma center, and that is not a solo project. It came to me one day in my own session that if I became a TIR trainer I could train each and every member of this team. The idea lit me up and there was no turning back! Activity cycle complete. I was inspired in each Applied Metapsychology workshop, throughout my TIR certification process and in my own session work to continue to follow my way and find it. That mark is continually expanding and creating greater! Thanks to TIR I believe I can do anything I set my mind to. Teaching is a blast, and the students inspire me also. It is so rewarding to share this amazing work!

Q: What do you find rewarding about it?
A: EVERYTHING! I’d have to say one of the best parts was teaching my daughter- who is 16 with a desire to pursue child psychology. It is so rewarding knowing that the modality is spreading to reach others with each new facilitator trained. I know how much TIR has and continues to empower me, and watching that in others rocks!

Q: Are you willing to travel to deliver training, if so under what conditions?
A: Travel- absolutely! Next to TIR, and my family travel is my favorite thing! As a mentor once suggested to me “throw me a sandwich every now and then and stick me in a comfy corner and I’ll be there” If you are looking for training that requires travel, just reach out–we can happily work something out

Q: Do you have a private practice?
A: I do! I am the owner of Doors To Healing, which operates out of a mother-daughter business- The Stone Lake House. We are a private wellness retreat tucked peacefully along the waters of Lake Erie in Leamington, Ontario. www.doorstohealing.com

Q: Besides TIR, what other things are you interested in?
A: I’m interested in personal development, and my own continual growth. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, doing anything that keeps me active and mindfulness and meditation. I enjoy leading workshops, reading, and stirring hope in others. I brave Canadian winters, but I’m most happy by the pool with a bougie Starbucks drink.
